APMSS programme has an inbuilt Resource Centre to support the processes internally and to extend the sphere of influence to others. Different research, advocacy and capacity building activities are taken up through this. In the process Samatha Gender Resource Centre has been set up as a unit of APMSS to formalize the learnings, experiences and expertise gained over the years in the area of women's empowerment. Facilitating the process of mainstreaming gender initiatives in various interventions of organizations and programmes has been the major objective of this centre. A cadre of resource persons is built from Sanghams to APMSS team who can give inputs on social and equity issues.

Another strength of SGRC is pooling the learnings and experiences in the area of gender in the form of communication material, training modules, posters and audio visuals.




For the past few years, SGRC is entering into strategic partnerships with various organisations and institutions (GO and NGO) and taking up field studies, action research projects and documentation. The learnings are two way – spreading MS philosophy wider, gaining knowledge and exposure to recent development trends.
